Course Details:
Section 11(1)(c) of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 states that the employer is required by law to have an acting Fire Warden designated to a workplace. Course is aimed at all managers, supervisors, or employees with responsibility for fire safety within an organisation.

Participants Up to 12 personnel

Duration 3.5 hrs.

Who Is This Course Intended For? All managers, supervisors, or employees with responsibility for fire safety within an organization.
Certification Advanced Fire Protection Certificate.

Course Objectives
• To give participants the skill and knowledge required to carry out their duties in a safe and effective manner.
• To enable staff with an enhanced fire safety role to meet the training requirements detailed in the current workplace fire safety legislation.
• Identify possible fire hazards in the workplace.
• Enable employees to assist in the fire risk assessment process.
• Understand how fires can occur and how fire and smoke can spread.
• Identify the correct type of fire equipment for the class of fire.
• Ensure fire equipment is inspected and maintained as frequently as necessary.
• Be able to advise members of staff on measures that can be taken to reduce the risk of fire occurring.
• Be able to advise members of staff on action to take in the event of an emergency.

Assessment
• Pass Mark 80%

Webinar Requirements:
Name and email of each participant.
Good reliable internet, audio, mic & camera capabilities on device.
Camera to be on for training duration.
Large open space for practical fire extinguisher demonstration.
Full attendance and successful completion of assessment to achieve certificate.

Class Requirements:
Meeting room with capability to adhere to Covid-19 social distance rule.
Large open space e.g., carpark for practical fire demonstration.
Full attendance and successful completion of assessment to achieve certificate.
