Course Objectives
• To give participant the skill and knowledge required to carry out their duties in a safe and effective
manner.
• To enable staff with an enhanced fire safety role to meet the training requirements detailed in the current workplace fire safety legislation.
• Identify possible fire hazards in the workplace.
• Enable employees to assist in the fire risk assessment process.
• Understand how fires can occur and how fire and smoke can spread.
• Identify the correct type of fire equipment for the class of fire.
• Ensure fire equipment is inspected and maintained as frequently as necessary.
• To give the participant the skills required in the use of a fire extinguisher.

Assessment
• Pass Mark 80%
Webinar Requirements:

Camera to be on for training duration.
Large open space for practical fire extinguisher demonstration.
Full attendance and successful completion of assessment to achieve certificate.

Course Details
The course which meets the requirements of both the “1981 Fire Services Act” and “Regulation 9, of the Safety Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005”, will prepare staff for their role in fire safety in the workplace. As well as legislation, the course will cover a range of fire safety management related topics as outlined below that are required under 1981 Fire Services Act and related Regulations of the Safety Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005.
Course is aimed at all Employees in the workplace.
Participants: Up to 12 personnel (Covid-19 health and safety measures applicable).
Duration: 3 hrs.
Who Is This Course Intended For? Employees in the workplace.
Certification: Advanced Fire Protection Certificate.
